In her directorial debut, Sami Lane, crafted a story that highlighted the experiences of Joy Oladokun and friends within the LGBTQ community. Through interview and artistic storytelling this music video is 100% heart and soul poured out through film, real film--16mm Kodak to be exact.

We saw history take place through Sami’s vision to tell a bigger story through Joy’s music video. Telling the stories of LGBTQ+ people through interviews and artistry, Sunday highlights people who have all been pushed from their faith communities and had to reframe their spiritual identity after coming out. By exploring theses stories we wove together a meaningful music video that premiere at the BeFree stories event in DTLA.
